FAQ

  • What kind of art do you create?

I create original paintings, textile-inspired designs, and patterns that blend earthy neutrals with soft pops of color. My work is rooted in themes of motherhood, faith, and the beauty found in everyday moments. Many pieces include scripture or prayer layered into the underpainting as part of my creative process.

  • Do you use oil, acrylic, or mixed media?

Most of my originals are mixed media, finished with oil paints for their rich texture and depth, though certain pattern studies or sketches are usually in gouache, watercolor, or ink. Each product listing includes the exact materials used.

  • Are your patterns hand-painted or digitally created?

All patterns begin as hand-painted artwork. After painting, I scan or photograph the piece and turn it into a print or repeat pattern digitally, preserving all the brushstroke texture of the original.

  • Do you ship internationally?

No, I currently ship to US only. Shipping and delivery times vary based on location and will appear at checkout.

  • How long will my order take to ship?

Originals typically ship within 5–7 business days. Prints, textiles, and made-to-order items may require 7–14 business days. During collection launches or holidays, processing times may vary.

  • How is my artwork packaged?

Original paintings are wrapped securely in glassine, cushioned with protective materials, and boxed safely to prevent damage. Prints are mailed flat or in a sturdy tube depending on size.

  • Do you take commissions?

I accept a limited number of commissions each year based on my studio schedule. If you’d like a custom painting, pattern, or faith-centered piece, please use the contact form to inquire. I’ll send details on availability, pricing, and the process.

  • Can you include specific scripture, color palettes, or symbols in a commission?

Absolutely. Because faith and story are central to my art, I welcome requests for meaningful verses, motifs, or colors. Scripture is often written into the underpainting, but we can discuss whether you prefer it visible or hidden within the layers.

  • How long do commissions take?

Most projects take between 4–8 weeks depending on size, materials (oil paint requires drying time), and complexity. You’ll receive a timeline when we begin.

  • Do you offer wholesale or licensing?

Yes. If you’re a shop or brand interested in carrying Maple on Main products or licensing patterns, please reach out through the wholesale/licensing contact form.

  • Do you accept returns?

Because each piece is created or printed specifically for your order, I do not accept returns. However, if an item arrives damaged, please contact me within 3 days with photos so I can make it right.

  • How do motherhood and creativity influence your work?

As a single mom of two boys, much of my art is made in the in-between moments — early mornings, naptime, or quiet evenings. My work reflects the softness, strength, and grace found in everyday motherhood, and I hope it brings peace and beauty into your home.
