Loving the outdoors and beautiful mountain-scapes I often travel to places in my mind that I'm not even sure exist. I love to piece together different memories in my mind with complete visuals of real places and so, Valley Of Poppies was born.
Since having a chance to live in the hill country of Texas I became enamored with wildflowers. Fields and fields of them would cross what seemingly should have been dry desert lands. Bold pops of color greeting me along hard times, long drives, and winding roads. I wanted to bring some of that beauty and peace into my home through this painting. A lot of love went into this as I was painting to feel alive again, and boy did this painting come alive for me.
